The Rwandan National ID is applied for through the Irembo platform by following these steps:

1. Visit the Irembo Platform at https://irembo.gov.rw.
2. Navigate to the National ID Application:
   • On the homepage, select "Identification" from the list of services.
   • Select your choice from the available options.
3. Follow the next steps
4. Once your ID application has been approved by the DGIE/NIDA, reach out to the Embassy to schedule a biometrics appointment

Note: When applying for the National ID through Irembo, there is an option to sign up as a member of the Rwandan community abroad (diaspora). To do this, follow the steps to create an account as a new user, then scroll down and select the option to sign up as a "citizen living in the diaspora."
